History

Falcon Engineering has a rich history with deep roots in the Okanagan Valley and throughout British Columbia.  The company has years of experience in electrical and mechanical engineering that reaches back to the 1970’s.  Geoff Hann started with Vinto Engineering in 1975 and worked there 12 years before establishing his own electrical consulting firm, Falcon Engineering Ltd. in 1987.  Bruce Candline joined his firm in 1989 and became a principal in 1991.  Kent Galloway arrived in 1992 and became a principal in 1997.

Don Poole started his career in British Columbia as a mechanical engineer for Joorisity Atwell Engineering Ltd. (formerly Vinto Engineering) in 1986. Don bought the company to form Poole and Associates in 2000.  In 2013, our firm merged with Poole and Associates.  Andrew Stringer joined the new firm in 2012 and became a principal in 2016.  With the addition of Jeff Quibell, our Geoexchange specialist engineer, our company is well rounded in providing a wide range of engineering services with an emphasis on proven energy efficient designs.

We provide high quality engineering services from our British Columbia base, which is 100% owned and operated by the local partnership group.

Principal Mechanical

ANDREW STRINGER   B.Eng., P. Eng., LEED AP

Just as each project he undertakes is different from the last, Andrew always keeps the unique requirements of his clients top of mind. He tailors mechanical systems to suit their specific situations and budgets, and makes a point of listening carefully to a client's challenges, ideas, and experiences before making his recommendations. For Andrew, simplicity of design is the key to greater system reliability, lower initial costs, and reduced on-going maintenance expenses.
